Throughout 2017/18, most apprenticeship frameworks will be replaced by new standards that are created by employers, for employers. These Apprenticeships are known as Apprentice Standards, also commonly referred to as Trailblazers. A Trailblazer Group is an employer group of organisations who are developing the new Apprenticeships in their sectors.
There are over 450 apprenticeship standards currently approved for delivery or in development across all industry sectors. When choosing which programmes are most suited to your organisation’s needs you may consider specialist programmes that satisfy your current and future skills needs, or wider scale programmes aimed at more front line colleagues in junior roles to up-skill, improve retention and increase productivity.
The majority of Apprenticeship starts in early 2017 were in the areas of Leadership & Management, where employers have aligned their talent development needs with the range of industry recognised programmes, endorsed by professional bodies and awarding organisations.
